At times you may need to make certain Word table rows taller or shorter, or columns wider or narrower. You can do this using your mouse and the rulers at the top and left of the Word document window.
To resize a table row of column, follow these steps.
- In the View menu, make sure “Ruler” is selected so that rulers appear above and to the left of the document.
- In Print Layout view, click the table. Table cell “boundaries” appear in both rulers.
- Click and hold the boundary for a row or column whose size you want to change and drag the boundary in the desired direction.
- Let go of the mouse button.
