On June 11, 2016, I had the pleasure of presenting tips on how to empty your inbox at the Editors Canada national conference in Vancouver.
Despite mine being the final time slot of the day, I think I managed to keep too many people from yawning. I presume my passion for the topic – this habit does ME a lot of good – came through in the presentation.
The presentation, with questions, filled the hour. I wasn’t reading from my slides. I just used them to keep the talk on track. That said, the slides show both:
- basic tips people can use to keep their inboxes empty, and their minds calmer (yes, there’s a link).
- the fact that I neglected to have the slides edited before the presentation, which caused some mirth among the gathered editors.
