Facebook spam

Anybody who has had email for any length of time has seen plenty of spam. Most of us have the protection of spam filters, so we minimize the time we take to figure out what’s legitimate and what’s not.

Too bad Facebook doesn’t offer the same protection. There’s so much on Facebook we need protection from.

For instance, many people forward stuff that strikes them as authentic without even so much as a quick visit to where they can check whether or not that thing is authentic. Examples include quotes attributed to celebrities or ordinary people holding up signs for photos asking for likes, for a wide variety of reasons.
