In the media, a topic is said to have legs when it recurs regularly. I know journalists who cover different stories on the same topic and reuse paragraphs in the middle of each story because the basic facts don’t change.
Password leaks committed by major organizations is a topic with legs. Truth be told, hackers often find their way into digital strongboxes and take thousands of passwords from the likes of LinkedIn and Yahoo, but lost laptops and USB keys containing thousands of confidential records also spur the topic back into media headlines. The key message: you can’t rely on major service providers to keep your passwords safe.
I’ve written more than a few blog posts and articles touching on security, but today I’d like to share a couple of short videos that offer different tips. Enjoy.
