Instead of sloshing manuscripts through publisher’s slush piles, intrepid authors are routing them through increasingly sophisticated and reputable print-on-demand (POD) operations. The result? They avoid a traditional publishing bottleneck, start online sales of their books quickly and, if booksellers can be enticed, the book ends up on bookstore shelves.
Writer Paul Lima plans to talk about his POD experiences during a Saturday, April 9, 2011 workshop in Kitchener, Ontario. Want to sign up? Check Paul’s blog post for more information.
