Media request: tablet usage in Canadian law firms

Hello,

To those of you who answered last week’s tweet, thanks. If you didn’t answer the tweet, somebody recommended you for this article.

Michael Rappaport, managing editor at National Magazine, commissioned an article on tablet usage in law firms. To that end, I’d like to know if you want to answer a few questions via email or in an online form.

FYIs

  • Since the iPad is really the only tablet with any traction right now, I’ll focus on that with a mention of other tablets and operating systems that should be out by the time the article gets published.
  • If I don’t get enough of a response from Canadian lawyers by Wednesday, November 17, 2010, I will open this article to attorneys from other countries

The resulting article will consist of insights and rankings to questions like:

  • what are your top three third-party apps any lawyer must have to use a tablet at work?
  • If you hold this opinion, what makes tablets not yet ready for use in a law practice?
  • WHERE will lawyers most use tablets?
  • What are your top three tablet “guilty pleasures” (games, social media, etc.)?

If you still want to participate, let me know via the comments on this post (or the contact form on this site, if you want to protect your email address) and I will send you the online form I mentioned. And if you know of other Canadian tablet-totin’ lawyers who would like to take part, please let them know too.
